The Department of Environment, Govt. of Delhi shall provide assistance to such Non-Governmental Organization (NGOs) including Residents Welfare Associations ( RWAs), Voluntary Organizations, Self – Help Groups which are engaged in environmental awareness, waste management, promotion of Eco-friendly material and other related environmental activities.

The Government of India developed guidelines for NGO and private sector involvement in TB control which were published in 2000 and 2001 respectively.

Today, PPM in RNTCP has come a long way with the support of over 2500 NGOs, 25000 PPs, 260 Medical colleges and 150 corporate houses which are providing DOT services. The Grant-in-aid will include the cost of activities and transportation/mobility cost for the staff to undertake these activities throughout the district. The NGO, as well as ngo consultancy, will be expected to undertake a certain minimum number of activities every month within the assigned /agreed upon geographical area/population within the district.
